Self-Drive Tours
Probably, the best way to independently travel in any country, is by self-drive car as it allows you to be mobile at all times, to stop whenever you want, to visit to your heart's content! You can pick up your car on arrival without wasting any time, and will be able to visit every corner of your destination to your heart's content, without having to rely on any timetable. A limitless number of itineraries is possible, as you can combine any of the regions and cities to create "your own" program. Pre-arranged tours are usually one week or longer and start from major cities. They can be used as suggested and may be combinable to cover different regions. All include car and hotel accommodation. After you have decided on your tour, you may also request further customization to prepare your "very own" visit.
Car Rental
Car rental is, from all points of view, the best way to visit each destination in depth. It allows you to pick up your car on arrival without wasting any time, and will enable you to visit every corner of your destination to your heart's content, without having to rely on timetables.
This service is available in most countries (Pick-up and return of the vehicles is free within a country while drop-off charges will apply if you must drop-off the car in a different country than where the rental started) but the type and size of vehicles willl vary from country to country.
All our rentals also include local taxes, regular insurance and CDW (Collision damage Waiver) to offer you the best protection possible while renting.
Car & Driver
For the times when you want to have private transfer or day tour service but do not want the full service of a limousine, our Car & Driver service offers the most practical solution.
The vehicles used for car/driver services are mostly private cars and vans with a local driver (some with limited English speaking abilities) but for short durations and/or point to point transfer service, they are the answer at an affordable rate.
This service is available in most major European, Latin American, African and Asian cities and is our basic service for private transfers and day tours whenever we offer it in our programs. It probably offers the best value for private touring.
Free car Drop-Off and/or Pick-Up at your hotel in the San Jose metropolitan area, the San Jose International Airport, the Liberia Airport, the Quepos / Manuel Antonio area, and the Tamarindo Beach / Flamingo Beach areas.
No Drop-Off charge applies for returning the car in a different location (applicable to rentals of three days or longer).
Car & Driver service. Upon request we can facilitate an English-speaking or French-speaking chauffer with your rental car.
Road Assistance. With our network or 5 offices and 21 service stations we are capable of providing our customers fast assistance throughout the country.
